For the grandparents of today's Gerneration things that are commonplace today were unimaginable. Mobile phones - DVDs - Laptops - MP3 player - I-pods .... so there was not all. The only thing they knew was black and white photography ....

However, there would be no photography these days, no movies. We know that a film of many, aligned, images is to be changed so fast that the human eye, they can no-longer separate and begin to move "clear". Thus, the photograph was the first step to the film.

Also the format of film went through many changes. The first films were stretched on large spools, the projected rattling the faltering image on the canvas. In addition, sound was was still unthinkable, so it was only silent films, but these were sometimes accompanied by a live orchestra. The most necessary dialogue was displayed on the screen.
Now, however, remains the development of mankind are not simple, the technique has been refined, new things were invented, thus made, of course, also new possibilities for the medium of film.

The bulky, sensitive film spools were replaced by so-called video-cassettes. These were based on the same concept as the film rolls, however, the actual roll of film being protected by a plastic casing and the coils were no-longer be laboriously clamped into the projector, but had clamped already on spools, you had to insert the cassette only in the VCR. This development made the medium of course much more accessible for everyone, you had the movies no-longer, but you could all you need in your own living room have.

Today, even video recorders are seen as old-fashioned. In the short time since the video cassette of the inventive new, faster, better ways were invented. Today, video-cassettes (like records) for the younger generation relic of a bygone time. For us there are DVDs, mini discs, video I-pod, and so much more. One can even bring the cinema to your home, all you need is a projector and a blank wall.

Looking back on all this but one wonders if such huge changes have taken place in such a short time, what will probably be the technological level in 50 years? Are laptops and touch-screen phones to be seen as old and above all what will have been invented for new, unbelievable things?
